Dig the lighting...dof isnt all too apparent in this shot methinks..If no external lights were use then thats one heck of a powerful candle lol.

of course there is lighting lol

and the reason the depth might not be apparent is well. You cant really see anything but me with the lights that were used, kinda the point.

Buta lso im situated a good distance instead of a macro distance which would greatly add to depth.

that would be an amazing candle if it can light the rigth side of itself like that. :) looks pretty cool papa....I feel funny saying papa. lol

PAPA that looks great
I went to the Flaming lips at the Hollywood Bowl on sunday, I was able to shoot some stuff, my set up was like an obligatory stop backstage, everybody came and looked at it, praised it, messed with it, etc.
so here are a couple grabs

Unix first and second grab looks like you're now getting the hang of it. A little bit too saturated, but the focus looks good. How did the rod system work out for you?

yeah I tried to stick w/ the Zoom and MF settings u recomended, there are some better grabs, I had a lot of people come mess arround with it, people asking if there was one for the HVX etc. they were shooting with cinealta's, 8mm Bolex's
and were blown away by this.
too saturated that's my high contrast scene file.
rods are outta stock.

Look extremely noisy and soft.

Is this SQUEEZE mode for sure? The ratio looks weird for that mode.

yep it says squeeze, noise? might be that filter in front onf the Konica lens there is a filter already between the DVX lens and the adapter, ima have to take it off.

soft? I still pull focus while looking to an upside down image on my lcd, kinda hard when the the subject is moving arround.

I think the ND/ iris combination also has to do with the grain, the laptop one looks really grainy, more tests to follow.
