Ifocus HQ Grabs :)

My Grandmother ( on mothers side ) came to Canada for a little visit. It may be the last time she is here ( severe dimensia, ). So i want to make a little memory video during the few days shes here for my mother.

So here are some stills from today's walk and talk. It's using the Ifocus HQ by Chris/Twiock ( however thats spelled )

Innexpensive and great results. I appologize for the aspect ratio, im at war with premier pro 1.5.

If some of the shots appear a tad soft, my only excuse is that it was a very sunny day, and looking in my lcd screen was difficult at times.

Otherwise, could be some compression cause it looks great on a television and computer screen.

Enjoy!

- Minor test on edge sharpness on wide shots. Not the best, but this can be expected due to the lens's quality. Cinematic lenses are out of my budget. lol, but i loev it none hte less ( just need to pick up a wide angle lens, will solve some of the issue.)

chris: I notice in some of my wide shots, the edges are still quite soft. This, i will presume, is not due to the devide, but indeed the 35mm lens? Is this the result of not having a high price cinematic lens? Your adapter rocks btw.

Just waiting for a vibrating addition to it :)

These look great! How much is an ifocus btw? My only comment is that some of the shots against the brickwall look a bit videoish for some reason, but otherwise they all look great!

ps: the second shot..that doesn't look like your grandmother..

Very nice. They are sharp yet film like. My only problem is the GG seems to give ghosting/haze on the bokeh that is reminiscant of the optosigma 1500 grit GG re:

Very nice. I like the composition of the "- Mother and daughter, standing together" one. It really looks like something out of a movie.

I see what you mean, but only in that shot in particular, mgiht be just the distance taken and the depth of field of that particular shot.

i absolutely love the image it gives. actually used it on a XL H1 Canon today and it was superb!!!!

Awesome grabs as usual, PaPa. Looks like this is going to be a terrific rememberence/tribute video.

and the grabs are very clear for an adapter. I'm going to look a little more into this iFocus.

im really having a blast with this ifocus. And seriusly, it looked amazing on the high def XL H1.

It was well worth it because it came with a lens.

actually, now that you said something about the GG, im very curious to find out what Twiock uses for his ifocus. God knows if ever anythin ghappens, i would like to have the option of replacing the GG or upgrading if the future comes around the corner.

I would say its a fairly low diffusion GG. Great for sharpness and lightloss, not so good for bokeh...
