If you have multiple formats on same P2 card

Just wondering what people are doing when you shoot multiple recording formats on the same card and importing to FCP.

Say you've shot 720pn and 1080pa on same card for the same project and you need to know which clips are 1080pa to remove advanced pulldown to use in a 23.98 timeline. Since the 720pn footage does not need to have removal of extra frames and the 1080pa footage does how do you know what clips are what.

I know you can take notes on paper at the time of shooting but is there another way to find out what clips are what before dewrap the mxf's in the P2 import box in FCP 5.14

Am I missing something and if I am is there a difference between FCP 5.14 and fcp6 regarding this issue.

When you open the FCP import P2 window you can hold down "control" and click in the name field at the top of the window and it will bring up a list of columns you can add. Look for the ones that show format and shooting rate. Add those columns and you'll be able to see what each clip is before you import.

Ozduc you are a prince. That is exactly what i was looking for. Thanks so much.

my issue was with the advanced pulldown checkbox. I just did a test with 720pn 24 at 60 frames and whether the advanced pulldown box was checked or unchecked the footage imported properly. So it seems that if I mix recording formats like the ones I mentioned I should just leave the advanced pulldown checked for the 1080pa footage and FCP will take care of the 720pn. So it seems its not really an issue to know what is what in my particular situation. I thought I remember people having problems ingesting 720pn footage and leaving the box checked and thats why it was a concern. But your help has made the situation better regardless.
If you have anything to add on this feel free.
