IBC is getting close.. CAN YOU FEEL IT?!?

Hold your horses. ( And not your breath)
Remember that the 8Gb-card is longsince announced but still not released.
At IBC they will probably announce the availability of the card( ie, actually hold the card in your hands), together with the p2-store. The 200 will be demoed, but not released yet.

Guys please send us all the feedback. It would be nice if they had a podcast or even the demo on the net.

mikkowilson is our official IBC guy.. he will be updating us from the floor.

If any of you are gonna be there as well, shoot away, the more photos and info we can get the better.

Hey, its getting close enough how about some footage

If there showing a working model at IBC there should be some footage floating around somewhere - Don't you think?

How/where will it be released?
There is no hope of Panny hosting footage on their site right? They'll "have" us do that for them... Is there anything else you guys know about this footage... will it be handed in DVDs to mikkowilson and everyone else there? The demo is on Sunday? At what time? How will we get to see this when, where
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:cheesy: :cheesy: :cheesy: :cheesy: :cheesy: :cheesy: :cheesy: :cheesy: :cheesy: :cheesy: :cheesy: :cheesy: :cheesy: :cheesy: :cheesy: :cheesy:

All I can say (i'm just as in the dark as everyone else for now...) is that I will be at Panasonic at 12:02 [that's about how long it takes to walk from the front of the line at the door to the panny booth] asking all these questions.

Here's how it'll go down:
*The show starts Friday at 12:00 noon CET. - that's 11:00am UK, 6:00am EST, 3:00am PST.
*My first stop is panny where I'll be asking and taking picutres, not to mention bugging for footage or grabs (if possible).
**IF* there is WiFi available at panny's booth, I should have the first stuff online in about 15-20 mintues..depending on the obsticals I hit.
If WiFi isn't available there, I will make my way over to the IBC internet cafe and post from there.. which will take about another 15-20 mins.
*So expect the first data from IBC sometime within the first hour of the show.
I will be posting ONE thread in the NEWS section of the site, starting Friday morning before I fly to the show.
*During the course of the day I will prepare an article that will be posted within about 12hours from the start of the show.

I have no idea what will be available... as always no promises, but I'll be sure to dig up what I can.

If anyone has any specific questions, now is a good time to post them so that I can plan my assault ;-)

Okay, this is just a little point that I keep raising and would be interested to see what Pany has to say about it.

As far as I know, Pany hasn't released the CCD resolution yet, so can you ask that, and ask about the pixel shifting and uprez methods employed... I guess there will be some.

Then, if the chips are say, 1280x720 or something similar, can you ask whether they view the HVX as a 1080i/p camera or a 720p, just with the option of 1080. I know that may sound odd, but their marketing seems to sing about P2 and 720p and not mention 1080i/p all that much. It may have just been what I have seen, but I am surprised that the main emphasis hasn't been on the fact that this is the first sub $100,000 1080p camera - quite a marketing statement you would think!?

It isn't my main concern for the camera, I would just like to hear from the horse's mouth

Thanks a lot Mikko!

They will show HD contents shot by Varicam and AJ-HDX400, not HVX200.
Completely wrong. Jan's already said that IBC will be where they release the first footage from the HVX200.

Man, I'd never have thought that I'd be nervous about the presentation of a camera.

Friday can't be here soon enough.

from ibc.org: The first working model of Panasonic’s revolutionary new AG-HVX200 P2 Palmcorder is aired at IBC2005.
