I was half expecting an A1 price drop this morning 'cuz I finally ordered one over the weekend. This, after researching the A1 on this site and others since Nov. Now, I get to spend even more money on

• a tripod (leaning toward the Libec LS-22M)
• filters (undecided right now)
• tapes (just ordered 20 AY-DVM63MQ tapes)
• maybe a mic (Rode NTG-2 perhaps)

I can't wait to play around and learn w/ it. It'll be nice to "get off the sidelines" and get to work!

For a mic the at815b by audio technica is pretty sweet and you can get them on ebay way under the retail price of $400 +. I got mine for $170.

Thanks for the suggestion. Reminds me: I still need to pick up a camera bag too. I guess I'm at that stage where every time I turn around I see something else I need. Oh, when will the madness end?
