I want to try something new...

I feel tempted to sell my T2i (body + 2x batt.) and buy a 5DII (used) with the extra cash the I have.

What I have to offer:
-Canon T2i
-Batteries (2x)

I have been saving up for a new lens as I only have one right now. (50mm f/1.4) I sold my other lens, so this is all I got. Instead of buying a used lens, I was thinking of selling my T2i and getting the 5DII or even the 7D instead.

I don't know if I should buy a used lens (17-55 f/2.8), sell my T2i and get a 5DII, or sell my T2i and get a 7D.

Any thoughts?

*I currently do more photos than videos at the moment. So, it would be nice to have a better camera for photos & a camera that is Full Frame - Instead of dealing with the whole crop issues, and a camera that is better for video. However, I might be pushing it a bit too far?

50mm lens only...

That is a concern! :)

I always suggest buying new, but sometimes it isn't feasible (I know!). I would almost suggest keeping your camera for now and getting a good zoom lens (I'm thinking the 18-135mm ($400-$450), but if your goal is full-frame in the future, you'd be better to stick with the EF lenses).

Was in the same situation and I kept my t2i and added a used 17-55 2.8 IS and sigma 30 1.4. I also have the tokina 11-16. It will cost you a lot to go full frame when you consider lenses. You need at least a 24-105 F4L IS plus your 50. The ideal setup on full frame is the 24-70 2.8L and 70-200 2.8L IS. Plus if you stretch to get the 5Dii, you are ging to be really mad (and lose a big chunk of depreciation) when the 5Diii releases next year.
