i see .....tell me whats wrong

i've been having a similar problem with my SGPRO and hvx. Basically the image is sharp, but the right side seems a bit blurry. I checked and I can actually change the focus to pull that side into better focus, however then the middle is less in focus so it is a compromise. Is this because of the hvx's missaligned CCD problem? and should i just be compromiseing between the best focus on the edges of the frame and the middle of the frame. and what can i do. Would it be better for my focus if i pulled the adapter farther away from the camera with spacers etc? As in the grain being smaller as a result of being farther away from the lens? I know this would completely screw my focus culmination for distances on the lens, however i could adjust if it would mean having a sharper picture.

I'm writing this in a hurry so sorry for the bad grammar and random tangents in thought.

btw, I always make my first AC reset the backfocus between each new setup. In my opinion this is way more efficient than checking the gate for obstructions between each setup when shooting film.I explained to the director that the process was similar to that, and he instantly was understanding, although they are completely different things, i think he better understood the importance of it.

I would try the step I mentioned in a prior post in this thread, and that is setting the back focus with the iris on the HVX fully open, and then stopping down a little. This will expand the HVX's DOF, and perhaps get all of your Ground Glass into focus.
