I really need an answer to this question!

As a very minor clarification, component can carry HD if the source allows it to. :) Blu-Ray players, for example, have a tendency to not let you play movies over component because there's no copy protection...

I use a 24" Gateway full HD (1920x1080) computer monitor.
It has component in and works great with the HVX.

Was under 300 Euros.

You can see it attached to my dolly

That's a very cool setup...but...do you usually dress like a pig farmer when you're working on-set...?

Ahahahaha. That made me laugh.

Hey so what do you do then when you are shooting on a tripod or handheld? Would you say you do most of yoru shots from that dolly because you want to keep the monitor with you? I would find that limiting. But I think it is awesome for the dolly. That must have cost a lot huh? Hpw much if you don't mind me asking? For the whole dolly and also the crane?

I don´t do handheld, so it´s no issue for me.
As you can see on the pics, the monitor arm clamps to any surface, so if I´m on a tripod I put it on that wheel board or somewhere else - works great.

The dolly and crane are DIY. Most stuff is from the hardware shop plus an used pedestal for the turret. All together under $350-
