I have the GH2 with the 14mm-42mm kit lens now I want to order another lens eventually I want get the Voigtlander 25mm but I can't afford that right now....I mostly want to shoot video documentary style.. My price range is 600 and below...I heard that pancake lens was pretty good.

Also If even one has any recommendations on settings to use when shooting video that would be a great help still a newbie :)

Hey Jamel
I'm in the same boat.
Got the gh2 yesterday - with the 14-42 . I'm trying to find the Voigtlander - will have to return all my beer bottles for some extra cash. But no luck finding that lens.
I thought the 14-42 would be a joke - maybe not so bad for the time being...

The 20mm f1.7 "pancake" is a nice lens. It's one of the cheaper options for a fast wide(ish) / standard in this format, so the fact that it's optically good (plus software matched to the GH2 for extra goodness) makes it good value. Being an electronically controlled lens, it's a very different discipline than the all mechanical / manual Voigtlander.

With the problems in Japan, Panasonic lenses might temporarily become as hard to find as the Voigt. Keep an eye on prices and availability...

The Micro Four Thirds format permits easy use (via adaptors) of the vast array of lenses from the larger 35mm film (and some digital) camera ranges. Some top quality used bargains are available. Browse the hardware subforum for lots of info.
