I need a screw

I have a problem in that I have a Canon C300 Mark ii with an aftermarket top handle. There are two screws on this. The issue is one of them has gone walkabout so I need a screw. It's pretty hard and I'm getting desperate...

Everyone wants to sell me an aftermarket handle unit but I like my handle and just need a screw.

It's identical to the one in the photo... https://www.videoheads.co.uk/store/p13/Canon_C300_MK_II_(EF).html

Otherwise I'll just have to bite the bullet and spend money to get another handle but all I really, really want is a nice screw. Can anyone help me get a good screw?

Usually in the last 15 years when I see a question like this pop up, everyone says contact your dealer who can contact the Canon parts department and they'll sell you one/replacement...probably for a lot of money.

If that's not possible, try to find a C300 Mark II parts manual. They'll usually have diagrams and breakdowns and you can find what the exact screw is called and maybe then find it on eBay.

Cameras usually have the typical 1/4-20 & 3/8-16 threads but sometimes they are different for accessories.

wooden camera and smallrig (on amazon) sell bundles of 1/4 20 screws

(as to mc master in the usa and gwr in the UK for specific sizes)

most other screws around japanese cameras are metric m3 m4 et al - all available on amazon

for the odd M3 M4 etc - in the US - I would go to Home Depot; which has drawers full of options for you to look at. Just take the remaining screw to match. I assume some hardware stores in other countries have similar setups

The last sentence could be misconstrued, I guess?

Generally, I find if you look up your nearest nuts, bolts, screws and fasteners mechanical trade suppliers you can just normally just walk in and plonk your screw on the counter and just say "A couple of these please." And in most cases, they will have them in front of you without too much issue. And I might add, at a fraction of the price Sony, Canon, Panasonic and the rest charge for a "genuine parts" bolt.

Thanks. Really like the idea of Clerkenwell Screws and can pop by next Monday. I also have a couple of odd shaped nuts that I need sorting. So I guess it's the kind of place I can just put my nuts on the counter and see what they do.

Thanks for all your help! Turns out the screw is a really strange size / shape but Clerkenwell screws came through great. It's not perfect but it's good enough and all is good. Nothing like going into a shop, putting your nuts on the table and then finding a good, although not perfect, unexpected screw.
