Hi guys, I'm at work right now editing a commercial for this Medical company, the doctor in the scene is using a defibrillator but I can't find a sound effect for that machine, if anyone here has a good quality defibrillator sound and would like to share it with me please let me know. I have to finish this today, THanks!!!

Just send me the link

George.

It's a big capcitor charging first and then a "Kathunk" sound (when triggered).
Similar to a camera flash, but about 10 octaves lower!

Good point mikko.

Sample a camera flash recycling, drop it down a bit while allowing it to slow down (modern samplers usually defeat this), and add in a little sweetening.

DIY works for sounds too.

I recorded an angry raccoon at my weekend zoo job once, and pitched it down... it sounded like an angry jaguar.

I already downloaded the one from sounddog but it's too weak. But thanks about the camera flash advice.

I just fired up a Noman P2000 power source (2000 Watt/Second) and a LH2000 lamp head. The sound when all the energy is pumped through a single head is anything but weak. The charging sound seems just about right and the discharge is something that will get your attention. Might be just what you are looking for.

Hey abalex,

I don't have a link to a sound file as I was actually listening to a real P2000 / LH2000 combination. If you can wait until tomorrow, I might have time to capture the sound and send it to you. In the interim, just do a search for a big and beefy power pak and lamp head sound file (who knows, there could be one out there).
