I might buy a 5d mark ii, but maybe i could just keep my canon 60d

Hi,
i've noticed pros and cons for the mark ii vs canon 60

Mark ii
- more shallow depht of field
- better in low light
- wider view
(the 2 lenses 28mm and 50mm i use on the canon 60d would be perfect on a mark ii in terms of fields of view. I found them too telephoto on the 60d)
- better pictures resolution (because of better light too
(i don't see any difference in terms of video. But i see a difference in pictures. Most pictures i take with mark ii have better results that most pictures i take with 60d. Don't why but its like this)
BUT THERE IS NO SWIVEL SCREEN. I think its an issue for me.

Instead of buying a mark ii, maybe i could only buy a nikkor 18mm f3.5 or 20mm 2.8 to have a little bit wider angle to use with canon 60d.

Its hard to make a decision.

Actually the 28mm on the 60D is a full frame equivalent of 44.8mm and will give you (on the 60D) just a slight bit wider field of view than the 50mm gives you on full frame. I had the EF 28mm f1.8 with my T3i and 60D and it took care of any situation where I needed the "normal" perspective we used to get with the 50mm on film.

For wide angle, you might get by for awhile with the 18mm end of the 18-55mm "kit" lens. That would be the full frame equivalent of 28mm which is a fairly good "workhorse" wide angle. It's maximum aperture of f3.5 would work well in outdoor daylight and could be somewhat usable in fairly well let interiors.

If you do any still photo work the 5D Mk2 is a no brainer. Huge difference in still photo quality over the 60D.

Unless you want to shoot raw video, keep the 60D; you'd really miss the flip screen if you switched. Just get a 24mm prime, or if that's not wide enough, a used Tokina 11-16mm (around $350 used).
