i have about 80 gigs of footage, what whould i convert it to so that i can maintain quality and have a format that my computer can handle better?

whats the best way to do that? is there a batch convert or something like that?

thanks

Try NeoScene from Cineform.com

I also work on a PC (Premiere CS3) and it's great for converting my 7D files to AVI.

It's only $129, and you can download a trial for 30 days.

Good luck!

The Mercury engine in CS5 is only able to do the whole realtime thingy if you have a CUDA-capable video card (available in many NVIDIA cards).

not sure what video card i have but its a really nice one, no problem transcoding though, it took a little time and then it was done, imported the files and i can edit them without stressing my computer, much better

THANKS!!!
