I wanted a GH1 so bad that I had backorders at multiple places.

Unfortunately, I got them at slightly higher rates than the $1499 price.

I have a camera already shipping to me via UPS that is scheduled to arrive this Friday that I paid $1697 for.

Panasonic Direct called me today and told me they are shipping me my camera. So it is $1499 plus sales tax (who charges sales tax on the net?). I live in NC (7% sales tax) which has this one totaling $1604.

If someone wants to buy one off of me, let me know. I am new to this board, but I can give you plenty of links (new and old... really old ones too including an eBay account that has been around since 2000 with 100% feedback) that have history about me so that you know who you are buying from. If you're in North Carolina, I'm located in Greensboro close to the airport. You're welcome to come and pickup from my home or office.

I'd like to sell the $1697 one :)

They are both NTSC and both currently in transit to me. I would prefer to wait to accept payment from someone until I had both of them in my hands. With my luck, one would get crushed by UPS and I'd be the one without a camera :)

I am willing to ship to anywhere in the US and I will only charge actual shipping costs. I am a business verified PayPal user. If paying via PayPal, I would like to recover the fees they charge. I'm open to US Postal Money Orders or certified checks from recognizable banks which would avoid PayPal fees.

I also have a extra GH1. Out for delivery today directly from Panasonic and was going to throw it on ebay until I saw this thread...and figured I try to give back to the community first.

Just started using this forum when I decided to purchase the GH1 but you can check my ebay account:

Good idea, only problem is the Panasonic USA will not honor Canadian warranty otherwise I would have gotten my hands on a GH1 long time ago. :Drogar-Mad(DBG):
