Delivery of 16:9 to ...(how?)

How do Editors deliver a 16:9 "product" to a TV Station or another Post Production House.

I need to deliver TVCs (submasters) in Anamorphic 16:9 to a Post House where it gets "dubbed" to my Clients Master Reel from which channel /station dubbs are produced and despatched.

My DV workflow was basically :
Export NLE timeline to tape (DSR11) at prescribed Timecode and this was the Sub Master. Post House Dubbed this to Clients Master once we laid back finished audio (at same Post House). (Easy, simple, efficient.)

I am surprised at the lack of response to this question. What exactly are people shooting HD for if not TV / Broadcast and how do they deliver it ?

HD in a SD world !

TV stations in my part of the world are requesting/demanding anamorphic 16:9 delivery.

In Oz ...I just upload to the stations via a third party online delivery service... here it's called DubSat... you can check it out online... So I just make a m2v and an aiff. and a clapper of the tvc and upload...

If your project is flagged to display in 16x9 then it will screen in that aspect ratio...

Cheers

Thanx Lez.

I'll check that workflow out but do you know if Telestream Flip Factory comes into your process at any point and what for?.

Is that a captioning service... for closed captions... I've not worried about it on most tvc's although I have had some national campaigns where they insisted on closed captions...

Cheers

PS... If your in NZ then DubSat will work for you...

I also use DVDCad as a FACTS approval service.. you can let DubSat do both but I prefer to get the ad approved via DVDCad and use DubSat only for final deliveries...

Cheers

Oh... and as final mention working with on-line deliveries means many of the TVC I produce that are just graphics and still pics like retail car TVC's never see tape... it's digital uncompressed along the whole workflow.. which I feel gives the cleanest look at broadcast... I've not laid a TVC out to tape for 2 years now and if you shoot P2 you'll be digi along the whole workflow...
