GH4 I have a thought about fish-eye lens and 4k

So I have been pondering about getting the 7-14mm panny lens. Its not cheep and I already own a 8mm fish-eye so its kind hard to justify. So what I was thinking, which maybe people already doing this, is if I shoot with a fisheye in 4k, defish it, then crop/scale it to 1080, would this give me a nice wide shot an not look fished at all. I'm going to test this out this weekend. I'm think the results would be good.

Thoughts?

I'd like to take this a step further... I not only believe it will work, but I think you can create a FAKE ANAMORPHIC look doing this. If Anamorphic stretches everything tall, so does the fish eye, so crunch it back down and get some flat flares etc. for a lot cheaper than real anamophic lens
just a thought. I don't have a fish eye to test

My initial thought of doing this was to escape that hideous MOIRE many of the HD cams suffer from (not the GH4 though), because you would expand the image out of moire land, then bring back down into a 2.40:1 ratio or whatever
