I got my HVX today

I"m officially a member of the hvx club. It came today. (The fedex guy left it unattended on my front porch.) It may be a fat pig, but it's a beautiful fat pig. I thought $4800 for a new in a box model from an authorized dealer was too good to be true but it wasn't. I was hoping to find a rebate card in the box for Barry's book, but I didn't, Was I supposed to? Anyway I'm giving all you other hvx owners a group hug.
 
I asked the guy if I could mention the company name and he asked me not to. I could understand his reasons. I'm sure they have sold to others in this forum at higher prices. I can tell you this much. They are a pretty big company located in the south and they have two more cameras for sale. If any of you are planning on buying an hvx you'll save your self quite a few hundred bucks just by making some phone calls.
 
not a gambling man, but i'm going to guess promedia. (I am a gambling man, but it sounded better that way) Just a guess.
 
Cool! I get mine tomorrow! I ordered it from B&H.

- 2 x 8GB P2 Cards
- Porta Brace carry bag

I'm planning on ordering a M2 adapter next week to use with my F-Series Nikon Lenses, and I'm trying to figure out a good and resonably priced mattebox and shoulder mount.

I spent almost $1k more when I purchased mine in February.
 
The guy I got it from said they had some overstock. I told him, if you want to sell them put a notice on dvxuser.com. btw, I got my 4gig card today, (499). I think I'll try to live with that until the cineporter comes out.

Wanted to ask you where did you buy your camera from? Still happy with the purchase? Where they professional with you... aka... delivering the camera fast... new in box as promised... all that good stuff? Thanks for the info :)

Liebkid, I was asked not to tell the name of the company. I can understand why, it's possible others in the forum have bought from them at a higher price. Yes it was new sealed in a box. It was triple boxed. It took a few days to get it, but he sent it out the day after I ordered it. If he would let me give out his name, I would absolutely recommend him. (That sound like a groucho Marx line) Good luck
