I found it!

Point proven, thanks.

Well, if you're trying to be funny, I'll GLADLY go dig up more benchmarks from *non-apple* sites if that's what you want.

I thought I'd just be nice and let the argument die like the mods want...but I guess fate wouldn't allow that!! Obviously you are one of those types that HAS to have the last word no matter what. But if you need more unbiased benchmarks, I can help. l8r son!!

Oh...and one last thing. All benchmarks are NOT equal. There are many ways to test a program's speed and reliability. There are several programs currently being used to benchmark computers. Try google.com. You'll find alot more info there about them. Hurry.....QUICK.....someone please lock this thread.....

Mr Blonde,

aparently you don't make a living with video. because if you did you would drop this stupid PC vs MAC attitude that you have and get on with business. I, on ther otherhand make a living and put food in my familys mouths with video, and would not jeopordize my career or rep by relying on a "moded" PC. Apple has done what, I think all computer manufactures "owe us" as consumers, is to produce a superior product that "actually" functions when you take it out of the box. No "mods", no "custom build", no BS! the computer works! And it does what it I need it to do. If I had a penny for every time I was let down by a PC on a project, I would actually buy you a G5 and show you the light.

All right; come on, guys. Mac/PC debates spring up occasionally but rarely go on this long or get this vicious. End it now or we’ll have to lock up this thread. I’d consider deleting it entirely, but there’s useful information here.

I'd say it's about time. . .

I'd say it's about time. . .

Hey....I love my old commodore 64. I probably have about 500 games for it. That was a great system. My first introduction to networking was via a 9600 baud modem and a local BBS. Good times!!

Ah 9600...While shooting in Africa I had to connect at 9600 to get my email. It was painful. I wanted to pull my hair out.

I might be wrong on that.....it may have been 4800 or 2400 baud. It was 1985. I was 5. Not sure what the *Standard* was back then. It was "smoking" for the time though. I still use BBS every now and then.......I like to keep it real ya' know!! REAL retro!!

Remember back in the time that a C64 couldn't handle the 2400baud modem.. Only the C128 was "quick" enough... So we stuck with our 1200baud modem for our local BBS.......

Wow....I was way off then. Hell....maybe it was 1200, 600, or 300 baud. It was like a prehistoric internet. So much fun back in the *old days*!!
