This lens is a game changer for me. The reach is amazing and the bokeh is out of this world. There is magic in this glass.

Quick video of a few things I shot this weekend.

I will have another video out hopefully this week.

I have the same lens. Have yet to shoot with it on the GH2 but am looking forward to it. Some great images, especially of the baby at the end.

Personal opinion- would rather have some of the audio from the shots mixed into the music to give some connection to the video.

I can't wait to be able to do that. I am planing on a decent field recording kit for my future projects, I am still figuring things out. Until then its strange music in my videos.

A fluid head tripod and a lot of practice. I am using a cheap libec I think its a 950dv.

My trick is to always be moving and follow subject, never take your hands off the camera. Its the way that I was taught back in the day when you could wrap your arms around a camera. I never use the tripod handle. There is some zen to it. "become one with the camera" is what my DP would tell me.

I always believe this Nikon lens was the best tele for the Gh1 on the old days, now i have a Olympus 50-200mm and i´m really happy with it.
Beautiful shots.

Totally worth it. I have the 2 touch version but I believe that they are the same lens. I got mine for $600 bucks. They were a very popular lens so there are a lot them floating around.

can you adjust the aperture on the nikon lenses? I know you cant with canon but I'm considering buying a tamron canon fit lens.. but if you can adjust the aperture I guess i could buy the nikon fit and buy an adapter.

I love your footage the bokeh is great. I have the sigma 70-200 but have never really used it much, i might try it a bit more after watching this. Does your nikon have IS?

My nikon in a AF-D version which dose have a apature ring but I do use a nikon G adapter. The cheap ones work and I am going to get some shims made so I can get it to hard stop at infinity. (don't know why adapter manufactures don't do this)

No IS but you can still get good results with a decent tripod.

I am just now discovering nikon glass which is really the last thing I need to be doing right now. The new G series primes a looking like winers, just wish they had better mechanics. I am really digging the bokeh from the samples that I have seen but its such a hassle to hit the reset botton on my lens set. Dam you NIKON!
