GH2 I Applied the Kae 65Mps Patch and my SD card maximum capacity decreased!

Hey everyone, I took the plunge and applied the Kae 65Mps hack and I reformatted my 16GB Sandisk Extreme III SD card inside the GH2 and I noticed that the time remaining counter went from 1 hour and 31 minutes (before the hack) to 31 minutes and 35 seconds (after I applied the hack)!!!! Did I do something wrong or is this how its supposed to be when you apply the Kae hack? I don't remember losing any capacity on the same exact SD card when I applied the GH13 hack on my GH1! Here is a link to the Kae hack settings I used in Ptools:

C
an someone please help me solve this problem? Thanks.

Take a deep breath & think for a moment. Your old bitrate was in the 17Mbps - 24Mbps range, with the hack it's now anywhere between 24Mbps and 65Mbps which is going to use up the card faster.

Of course, anyone would expect that remaining time should change when applying patch with higher bit rate. However, with GH1 it is not the case. It measures the remaining capacity of the card and divide it with expected bitrate 17Mb/s no matter what patch (bitrate) you are using. It seems that GH2 is a little more "intelligent". Good to know. I should check it on GH2.

Thank you, Crunchy. See, Ethan, I did think. I thought about how I hacked my GH13 to a higher bitrate and this never happened, thank you very much! You go take a deep breath, pal! You AND your little buddy daihard!*

"Just finished final testing of bitrate patches.
The only one patch will be enough to set bitrate for particular mode and go shooting.
Remaining time will be accurate and all else necessary things will be done transparently.
If you'll need to adjust encoder behaviour even more you could also do it using new patches for testers.

As soon as I'll fix few other things and some hints I'll release 3.61D :-)
Most probably within 24h."

It's actually very cool that the camera accepts the new bitrate and gives you a proper estimate with the higher data rate. That's a lot nicer than thinking you have more space to shoot to than you actually do.

There really should be a wiki page like: How to do my first hack. with step by step instructions from you you download the program to you can shoot your first high nitrate video. Also it could be great to have one or two recommended setting that has been tested as stable (doesn't have to be the highest, just higher that the non hacked and fully stable)

[edit] I have seen some answers to the kind of post I just wrote. I have already hacked my camera and am fairly comfortable with the process just the information is scattered on multiple websites and forum pages. I am just thinking for the other persons who want to do the same.

You can see my signature has step-by-step for the GH1.

I don't know enough about the GH2 hack - maybe someone can do something similar to mine for the GH2.

If your reading the forums on http://www.personal-view.com/ you can hit the "star" button for a particular "thread"... you will receive emails about recent posts and follow the discussion when someone puts out a new setting.
Probably the reason there isn't a "dedicated" thread, is because it would explode with people's questions and problems.... dvxuser in my opinion is more "polished" and aimed at finalized settings for the general public.
At peronsal-view, its already administered and organized.

This is why I was mentioning a Wiki where one person in the know would update its findings and make some kind of "press release".
I am following both DVXuser and Personal View. But I still have to admit that it is hard to keep your head out of the water.
@cut2052 Yes like that but it should be advertised more clearly (IMHO) and maybe duplicated/adapted to the GH2.
