I don't know if it will be ok. That is up to you. I use mine for movies (and photography) and it works just fine for me.

it can look absolutely great, but it can also look pretty bad: there are lots of glitches (rolling shutter, aliasing), and you have to learn how to avoid them

once you master that, the camera is indeed more than capable

there was a film presented in cannes this year that was recorded fully on cameras like the t2i
