I am going crazy

Hi,

I've been finishing up my short film in FCP this week and I'm having a TON of problems with little digital hits showing up in pretty much anything that's being rendered using the DVCPRO HD 720 codec.

I had the problem initially when I imported the clips from the P2 cards into FCP. I fixed the problem by reimporting the clips one by one from the files. This took out the little hits for the most part.

But now, any time I render anything out, either from After Effects (the opening titles) or in FCP (color corrected shots) these little digital hits show up.

I'm running everything in FCP 5.0.4 on a Dual 2.7 G5 with plenty of RAM so I don't think that it's a slow system problem...and it's showing up on multiple systems, so I don't think it's my system in particular.

I've updated Quicktime and FCP so I'm using the latest versions of everything...

Has anyone else had this problem? Can anyone help? I need to go out to the final HD master next week and I don't want all these little hits all over the footage!

Thanks,

I don't have a way to upload pic from where I am right now, but I will later tonight...

Basically, the hits are little 30x20 (sometimes a little bigger, sometimes a little smaller) pixel distortions in the image...the image is sometimes white with black lines or purple with blue lines...and they only last for a frame...

Yes, but very random and smaller...I'm actually home now and will try to post up some stills.

Have you had this problem before?
