Hypergonar + 7D

Hi all, in very first i wish to compliment all as this is my first post in ths forum.
My name is Francisco you all can refer to me as csx (my nickname).

What brings me here is my recent adventure in joining you guys in the anamorphic format, for long time I did my architectural renderings and animations in anamorphic format, because I just loved the format for visualization. i've bought the 7D has an upgrade for my 350D for an year now, and choosed the 7D appart the photography reasons, because of the video mode and the money ratio, I always liked to film, but didn't like the videocamera for consumer.

So Yesterday I bought an Henry Chretien's Hypergonar HI FI 2 for 35€ (aprox 35$) on ebay.
I want to ask fo your experts opinions on what adaptor to buy or what considerations i need to do.

I will give a list of what lens I own and the filter size.

- Sigma 15-30 mm (I believe it is not possible to use this lens)
- Sigma 50mm f1.4 [77mm]
- Sigma 400mm f5.6 [72mm]
- Canon EF 70-200 f2.8 L [77mm] + 2x Extender f5.6
- Zeiss aus Jena Tessar 50mm f2.8 [49mm]
- Porst 35mm f2.8 [55mm]

For me the most important are the sigma 50 1.4 and the canon 70-200.

I looked on ebay for that Henry Chretien's Hypergonar Anamorphic lens, and elsewhere too, but can't find it.

Do you know of a retailer of such lenses? I've been struggling to find or acquire one that is cost effective.

I dunno, Ilooked actively in ebay worldwide, and found that 48 hours prior to finish the auction and I was the only one biding, I got really realy luck I believe. Keep looking.

Francisco, do you now what is the front size ? I mean is it threaded ? I bought one from a specialized shop in France ( unfortunately not for 35 E ! ) As I am based in Vietnam it will take some time to arrive .
The 5 to 6 mt shortest focus distance might be a problem, if you put an achromat or a close up filter it could work . I have tried with a Sankor 16F and it seems to work
 
Have you had issues with your 15-30's aperture on the 7D?

I can't change aperture values on my T2i for my 15-30 at 15mm.....

I tried it on a 7D and it wouldn't work either

Hi, I know the front is threaded, but I don't know the size of it.
First I need to buy a rig to use it :)
 
Has anyone mounted this Hypergonar (hifi 2) to T2i/550D? What method would be the best, I heard it's too heavy for using clamp only.
I guess supporting it with a lens collar or something might work?.
