Hard to know if that is new hardware or new firmware.

I have a Hyperdeck Shuttle so it would be cool for me....if it was firmware.

I could not Download (whatever it is) at the moment because it needs a serial # off the deck ( which is at the studio)

Can anyone else advise please.

It sounds like it's new hardware from what I've read so far, but I can't find it in writing on their page, so I can't give you a 100%. If you try it and find out for sure either way Shooter, let us know.

The newest version of the Hyperdeck Shuttle was just released, and now has the ability to record Avid DNxHD quicktime files. The price is still $349, and the supported SSD's start around $120 for a 64gig.

What do you mean by "Avid DNxHD quicktime files".

Did you mean to say something like "compressed Avid DNxHD files, as well as uncompressed QuickTime files"?

Or are the files saved to Avid DNxHD in a QuickTime container or something?

I think it is a Firmware upgrade.

I just downloaded the installer. You don't have to register just click download w/o registering.

I plugged my old HyperShuttle in and ran the utility (Beta 2.0) and it said the unit had to be updated. I did that and now there is a screen that is grayed out (probably because I don't have drive in the HyperShuttle) but it has a popup that looks like you can change codecs.

I will have a new drive next week, then I will test it out to make sure it is OK. It is a 128GB it will be interesting to see how much time I get on it, uncompressed 1080p 30 I currently only get 12 minutes.

I use these for Kiosks. So I don't have a drive here now because the unit I have is only used to record when I change the Kiosks content. I buy different drives depending on the length of the video for the Kiosk.
