Im really thinking of getting the HVX200 to shoot a 24p feature.
I have the DVX100A, can i mix both and get same quality output from both?
I guess the 100A will be for B camera and added coverage but I do want it to match in post with the A camera HVX200.

1. How do u guys backup your work? Seems like you record digital (tapeless) into P2 cards, you dump them into an external hard drive. Do you then make another copy of the footage as a backup in case the hard drive goes out? Its scary to rely on only hard drives as your main storage of video with hard drives being so flakey after 1-2 years.
Do you guys dump the footage to Mini DV tape or similar as another backup? if so, how is the quality, no loss I presume since its all digital?
2. P2 Cards, only panasonic makes them. Are there any other maker of P2 cards?
3. Is there a new version of the camera coming out? im planning to buy before dec. 31st but I will wait till 2007 if new camera is coming out.
4. should I sell 2 of my DVX-100's cameras for the HVX200, would you?
5. How much footage (time) does the 8GB record for and the 4 GB. 24p format
6. I shoot dcumentary, hvx200 is it feasible for documentary?
7. is the 24p look the same as the DVX-100's?
8. how much hard drive space does the 8GB take up each time u download?
9. Can u hook up the camera to an external hard drive and record like that? any external firewire hard drive?
