HVX200A for under $3k - scam?

Why skim on a item, the cost is the cost, the only real deal you can get is from here which someone has used the camera and has no longer a need for it.
 
Thanks, Daryl. The "ShopUSA" network through which I found all the competing sites must be owned by the same sketchy company; you have confirmed my suspicions.

Dante--I'm not trying to skim, it's just smart shopping. Gathering data. If I could comfortably afford a $5-6k camera, I wouldn't think twice, as the HVX200A is just what I'm looking for.

(Oh, and the reviews on those sites are obviously not by actual customers, but are put there entirely to deceive you.)

(…Ha, I went to the Cameraaddict site and found the 8GB P2 card selling for $1229 and the 16GB for $782, so these guys are fools as well as crooks!)

Smart shopping will be finding an authorized dealer and buying from one of them. There is an incomplete list of some of them in a sticky in the hvx section.

i am upgrading on monday and have found the best deal from the same guys i bought my first camera. the new hvx200a with 16gb card. $4999. anyone found real better deal?
