HVX200 Type-S Jib

I've seen a number of ads in DV and StudioMonthly about the Type-S Jib with a HVX200 mounted on it. Does anyone have one that can give me feedback about its pros and cons? I'm looking to purchase one at NAB, but need some recommendations or advice.

Thanks,

Matthew

I haven't heard anything good about it.
Fact is, I never heard anything about it.

You wouldn't work for the company and are
just trying to plug your own product...
would you?

I mean... you did just join.

spyke,

I'm sorry if my thread somehow offended you. In my previous 2 threads I got tons of info and advice on the Advanta Jib, Kessler Crane, Vance Jib, Losmandy Portajib Traveler, EZ FX, and the Glidecam Camcrane. But nothing on the Type-S.

Maybe there's a reason for that...

So no, I'm not plugging a product I've never seen. Just looking for someone else that's already dropped the cash that can tell me if they regret it or not.

Thanks for your post.

I'm sure I'll be criticized for this message, so go ahead. I work for a company that has used the Type-S jib on numerous productions, and I have yet to find a negative feature. I've worked with Mr. Montejo, the creator, personally and he has made a great product.
I've also had the opportunity to use the jib on solo-freelance projects as well, and I can vouch for its ease-of-use. I have read other places where the "60 second setup time" has been attacked, but I have actually seen people set it up that quickly, and the first time I had to set it up (with no assistance or knowledge of the product) it only took about two minutes.
I highly recommend checking out the booth at NAB and flying a camera around for a bit. After a minute or two, I think you will sell yourself.
