HVX200 Newbie Help

Hi Guys,
I have just purchased a Panasonic HVX200 (NTSC) and I wish to shoot 1080/24p and then edit in Final Cut Pro 6. I am fairly new to this so would appreciate any resources you can send me to.

My initial questions are as follows:

1) Which mode should I shoot in 1080i p or pA? Im a little confused here. Am I right in thinking something has to be done to the footage after import as it's showing up as 30 fps.

2) How should I correctly setup Final Cut Pro 6 for working in this format?

Shoot 24pA, not 24p in the 1080 mode.

Use log and transfer to ingest and to get to 24p, check remove pulldown in the L/T preferences.
