Im using Raylight now and nothing is wrong with it except the fact that im getting a new computer and I have a feeling I will need to pay for a new license again.

So in the 2 years since I bought this camera, has there been any free decoders released for MXF files?

I was simply blown away that panasonic would make a camera and not provide or even sell decoders for the video it records. Please tell me this has changed.

The MXF format works fine straight into Adobe Premier and I suspect all other latest programmes - what NLE are you using?

Well I have been using vegas, but it requires raylight to decode. But if Adobe works I might try that.
Thanks

Yes, Adobe will just pick up and allow you to browse the P2 media in its original file format.

Seeing as every NLE on the market (other than Sony Vegas) natively supports P2 and MXF, I think your perspective might be a bit off.

As long as you have your original Raylight installation file, you should have no problem at all using it on the new machine.
