HVX200 Insurance?

I'm a college student and I've got an HVX, and I REALLY want to insure my camera, P2 card (and MacBook Pro). Is there a good reliable insurance company that would cover such things?

That is a good question. I need to do the same.

I believe you can get renter's insurance (I'm assuming you are renting) and add a "rider" for your special equipment. State Farm, Gieko, the usuals all should do this.

dude, whats the deal with people being all dramatic about "searching" before posting.... the dude asked a good question.... no need to marginalize his inquery

yeah man, I got mine insured as well as other gear.... 75 bucks a month but I sleep better at night

shop around and look for the best deal but for sure, do get some

I have nothing against Goddard. In fact, I critiqued and told him his footage was great, but rules are rules.

Rules were set by Jarred to keep things the way EVERY forum I know of keeps them not cluttered with people posting the same thing. If people followed the rules you should be able to type in a single word and get ONE thread indepth covering the issue...

Taking it you dont read the guidlines as well. I will post for you to read as well.

*The search engine rocks! -- Before you ask a question, please do a search. We have an enormous amount of content and there’s a good chance that your question has been asked before—probably several times.

Please check to see if a thread on your topic already exists. If you have a question or comment about a particular topic, it’s a much better idea to post on a recent existing thread, because it helps keep our content organized.**

Please post in the correct forum -- Posting in inappropriate forums makes extra work for the moderators and you may find your post moved or deleted if you didn’t bother to find the correct forum. Also, no crossposting--please only post your question in a single forum.

Using that as a positive of why the search engine rules has to pay credit to the fact it was asked multiple times, so this time it should be allowed to slide, no?

clutter and dis-organization..... mmmm.... sounds like my personal life/apartment/sex life/mental outlook!!!

Well, I did do a search before I posted and I didn't find any insurance companies that I'm wondering about

I'm looking for specific insurance for Video equipment, Laptop (Not under housing / renters insurance) etc. and if anyone's had a good experience with an insurance company that covers that, links / info would be great.

Sorry if ive caused such a fuss

You asked in your original post for a good reliable insurance company.
