HVX200 for $4500.00?

Hey all!
Been following this for a while but here's me 1st post...

Just a quick question if anyone else knows anything about the website

I found them on a froogle search for panasonic camcorders... way cheap price... but they only deal in e-gold.
My 1st reaction was WTF!!??:shocked:

So I'm trying to gather more info and find out anyone else see this? Have experience with this company? or for that matter have any experience with e-gold? I found a place that will sell me e-gold, the best so far where I could actually use my credit card to buy e-gold is goldtrader.com but who knows if they're a ligit outfit. Any advice folks?


Basically just trying to figure out if I've found the best deal or the best spot to get hosed.

If its too good to be true probably is. I'm not willing to risk 4500 to find out. Jan can tell us if they are an authorized dealer.

The total cost is actually about $10k: $4500 to those guys, then an additional $5500 to a legit retailer to get your HVX.

Caveat emptor!
 
Haha.. This is great. I thought I'd walk through the check out process, and then much more becomes clear - they await your payment through e-gold.

This quote is from someone else who has researched e-gold.

"Anyway, I looked into an e-gold account (for academic reasons) and it is impossible (well almost) to fund the thing. It also states that once you move the money from one e-gold accout to another it is GONE."

Onixstyle has already been discussed on this forum here. Let's just say that the assessment on Oct. 31 here was as cynical as the posts above this one today.:)
 
I'd get the cam from an authorized retailer. Just to make sure. Paying a few extra $$$ is not as bad as loosing 4500....
 
Who in their right mind would even consider buying a camcorder like this unless it is from an Authorized Panasonic Reseller. Sorry to say, but if you are that dumb then you deserved to get ripped off. DUH
