HVX200 720 24PN what setting in 7D?

I've been shooting with the HVX200's since they first came out. I shoot everything at 720P 24PN. What would be the best setting in the 7D to come as close as possible to matching my footage? Should I try to keep everything at 24P?

Any help on this would be appreciated.

I do everything in FC studio 7

Shoot 1080/24p it's native 23.98 and then you can just down-rez in post if you want to finish on a 720 timeline.

Otherwise you have to shoot 720/60p and then conform to 24p; however, 720 has a lot of aliasing and isn't super sharp.

Thanks Rory.

That makes sense. As you know, the reason that most of us HVX users have been using 720P in the past is because when I started, all we could get was a 4gb P2 card, and at 1080i, it only lasts for 4 minutes, and the card was $700. Things have changed over time, and now a 32gb E card is only $600 each, but I still love the look of 720P 24PN with the HVX.

Again, thanks for your suggestion.

take care,

eric

I shot a no-budget feature on the HVX, so I definitely know where you're coming from. Fantastic camera.
