Hvx200 : 3x CCD of 1920x1080 Pixels EACH!

I could of swore I read Jan hinted to pixel shift.
She didn't hint, she as much stated that the HVX would use pixel shift. But then again, she has also stated that some degree of pixel shift is necessary even when the CCDs are natively full resolution, to cover the space between pixels.

So this tech-world it's very for few people! Our country is very poor, we have problems to have a wage that covers food, primary needs...thanks to the China and Berlusconi! :(

no politics here, thanks.

Nobody in Italy spends 10000 euros for a camera for "hobbie", for a work that doesn't pay.
I'll be very lucky to buy it because I want to make movies and I love cinema (I don't want make money with it), the proof is that I've no friends here in Naples that can buy a camera so priced...perhaps into Nord Italy they're more people that buy those cameras because they have more money, but Sud Italy is more like Third World...

that's not true, I am from the south and I got the money to buy it and my friends too!
maybe you have not as much as friends involved in the broadcast thing.
To stay in topic, I have to say adcom often has wrong statement about camera feautures.

Hello there, i'm new of this forum, and i'm italian people.
I want to tell you that in Italy, a famous reseller called ADCOM.it declares that Ag-HVX200 has 3x CCD of 1920x1080 pixels, Real Resolution. Evr'y CCD!
You can find the article here: http://www.adcom.it/visrecord.php?id=13610
Adcom is a leader of cinema camera selling, I think they're near to Panasonic to give this details, they announced this specs about one month ago, while I've seen confused details about it over the web but this company has a professional commercial site dedicated to Cinema making.
This announcements is dedicated to Professionals people (as "Cincecittà Holding" in Rome) that making movies for living, they can't lie to them.
They repeat with certainty this specs with clarity.
I hope this helps,

Cheers:)

I couldn't see 1920x1080 pixels anywhere in that brochure. The CCD part was all in Japanese.

I did see 1080/60p on page 4 though. I wonder what that is about?

I highly doubt those specs are accurate. Again, the pixel-shift is a win-win for everyone. High resolution, lower noise, greater dynamic range.

1920x1080 is too much for 1/3" CCDs, I think.

well progressive atleast.

Jan said that the CCDs always output a 1080p signal and every other format (720, 480) is a downsized 1080 picture.
But the CCDs are NOT 1920x1080 because that would result in a really bad low-light performance.
