Hello

I am new to the world of 1080 after only shooting 720 since owning the HVX200. So I have version 5.1 of FCP. I shoot 1080Pa as adviced by someone in my hvx200. When i transfer the footage i remove he advance pulldown. In final cut pro i set it to 108O50i (even tried 60i) I noticed that it does not offer me 1080 24P in the set up. Someone adviced me to change the settings in sequence to change the frame rate to 24fps and in field dominance i set it to none. Yet my footage freezes and stutters. Am I doing something wrong or am i just using a outdated version of FCP?

thanks in advance

and i apologize if it has been discussed before. I wasnt able to locate it.

thanks

That would be the settings for FCP. Shooting 24pA on you HVX is basically a 60i stream of data with advanced pulldown. Meaning that your camera is shooting and recording full progressive frames at 24p but is duplicating certain frames to make is 60i. (so its compatible with older gear).

Selecting 60i with the advanced pulldown checked in FCP is telling it to get rid of those duplicate frames for you and only display 24p.
