HVX+VX2100. Question

In your opinion, i will do some test footage but until then i wanted to ask here and see if maybe you guys have already done this comparison.

Obviously i know footage from an HVX and VX2100 do not compare. But if i had to shoot an event with 2 cameras and since i have these two cameras would it be very obvious to the viewers watching the dvd later on a huge difference in quality? If the difference in quality is huge and take the viewers atention away form the footage then i rather not use the vx2100 and just stick to one camera. If i do end up shooting my project i would use the hvx as main camera for wide shots and the vx2100 as b tape, mide range close shots.

Input welcome..

depends on what you're shooting..

depends on what you're shooting..

I currently have a regular gig shooting interviews, it's a studio setting, very static.
I have an HVX and a GL-1 running. After some very careful lighting and camera settings tuning, I can cut between them with remarkably good results.
The difference between the shots isn't noticed by regular viewers.

any footage or screen shots you can post? i would appreciate that.
i wonder is compared to the VX2100 and the GL-1 would there be a diff. If so then i would expect a diff with the hvx and vx2100. i need to do some testing..

thanks for the post!

what codec are you shooting? The vx2100 only does SD so i would have to shoot DVCPRO50 to get the highest quality for SD with the HVX and shoot progressive with the vx21000..
