Hey everyone, first time posting.
I've followed the ummm... interesting developments of the new cam on this forum for a very long time and I must say i'm very impressed with the website, the people (members), and how incredibly amazingly efficient this forum is in getting the news OUT to the world (specially with these types of 'new cam' events). So allow me to take a little break from all the madness and congratulate all of you guys for keeping us indie filmmakers informed not just on the excellent dvx but this new (ohhh-those-specs-are-so-pretay) HVX. I will be the first to congratulate Jarred, Barry and the rest of you important peoples here
<insert aplause here>
ok, enough of that :laugh:
Now, getting back to moviemaking and the new HVX. The new cam specs are truly amazing. I had planned to shoot our next project with the dvx100 but it seems like the oceans, planets and 24p's have shifted, and a new era in film making has arrived. We are now DEFINETLY going with the HVX. Thnks Panasonic. And on that note, I do hope that they... "refine" that body design a little bit because it really DOES NOT look as "agressive" as the dvx100. Not that it matters too much, of course - the shape of the body is not theeee most important factor - specially on this HD 1080/24p cam- but, I do think that the dvx100 actually looks [phisically] better, sharper, agressive and perhaps more "professional".
So hopefully Jan will relay the message somehow and Panasonic will refine it a little [I specially dislike that 'buldge' infront/top of the viewfinder]. If they do ummm 'fix it' GREAT! if they dont, STILL GREAT!! we're still buying one.
yay!
>>>> I welcome myself and everysingle 3ccdsoul to the world of the mini-vari-24p-hd-indie-moviemaking revolution.
P.S. hey I've seen this show on cable (SpikeTV) called "carpocalypse" it seems to me that they use DVX's to shoot it. It looks crazy wicked! Can anyone confirm it. Thnks
