HVX stuck in 24p

Help.
On a job this weekend I shot 720p60, or so I thought...
upon pulling the clips into FCP I discovered they were all 24p.

I have since done numerous tests with the HVX, using both P2 cards and FS-100. Every interlaced format works as expected, as do the Panasonic native progressives and 24p... but both the 30p and 60p settings insist on recording at 24p.

I've sent a request for help to Panasonic Support, but I'm not holding my breath.
Anybody have any experience with this headache, or any ideas on how I might get the camera to play nice?

Did you shoot in the film or video mode?

And when you did, was the frame rate set to default?
