HVX scene file editor program

Hey Tony,

you know that i am a great fan of P2 genie(people this software is worth every penny!) and its great what you are doing right now..!!

I am really looking forward to see the update of p2 genie and the new freaky software...sweeet november..!
 
No worries. It will be out in a week or so - I just had a lot of work to do last week and was away from the computer for the weekend :)
 
So I assume that it will be windows only- since you put together the windows version of the P2 genie, and I correct?
 
The application I'm making will be Windows, yes. I'm not sure if Anders (the Developer of the P2 Genie for Mac) will make a Mac version of this, but I'll ask.

Great work. I love P2 Genie, it's critical to my solo workflow.

Guys - I'm still struggling to get the scene file editor done but can someone please tell me what the framerate settings are like in the HVX PAL edition. I looked at the page here: http://www.jkor.com/peter/hvx200.html but as far as I can see those settings are from an NTSC camera. If someone knows of any other settings that are different then please let me know.

those look definitly like NTSC.
Would like to help you, but dont got the cam here right now...hope someone can help you on the pal, otherwise ill write you in a couple of days, wehn im seeing my baby again..!

p.s. i know its bad to ask, but i have to: when will p2 genie 1.2 be out...still planned for november?
 
I can't say for sure about the version 1.2 release yet, because I've been unable to get in touch with Anders (the developer of the Mac version) for the past couple of weeks. We want to release both the Mac and Windows versions at the same time AND launch a "universal" website for both platforms in order to line up some advertising for it. So we need to sync up before I can release the new version.

Hello TLORENZO, I'm an HVX user in Pal land ( France).
The HVX-200E (Pal) Recording set up :
1080i/50i
1080i/25p
720p/50p
720p/25p
720p/25pn
576i/50i
576i/25p

Frame rates at 720p : 12, 18, 20, 23, 25, 27, 30, 32, 37, 48, 50.

Thanks for that. Could someone send me a scene file from a PAL camera to tony at p2genie dot com? Thanks. I need to check something in the top of the file in order to make sure my NTSC/PAL validation works?
 
Turns out this was a larger undertaking than I initially thought, but it is still in the works - and it will be free for all DVXUser.com users. I've just been real busy these last 2-3 weeks and haven't had the time to work too much on it.
 
It's really great of you Tony, and I am really looking forward to this program. I think many will find it very helpful and time saving.

It looks like something I will really be able to use.
