I have done some research on this, but no one could help me so far.

I was wondering if it is possible to use a american/NTSC HVX to use in a PAL enviroment(editing/FX).
I'm not talking about the tape recording, I have been throught that problem with my DVX. I'm asking for the P2 recorded data. Cause I was thinking of buying one in the US, since the exchange rate is extremly good for Euro to Dollar...1 Euro buys about 1,39 Dollars.

Thanks anyone. PLZ dont ***** about the search function, cause thats what I did.

Though physically in a PAL area, you will still be working entirely in a "NTSC" environment. Meaning that you'll need to use NTSC type presets in editing, NTSC monitors, Decks, etc.. a lot of gear in Europe supports NTSC these days, but for example you will have trouble shooting anything to be broadcast as it doesn't match any of the standards.

If the only reason for getting a NTSC camera is the exchange rate, then it's probably saving in the wrong place, it could come and bite you later.

PLUS you wouldn't have a warranty, so if you have a problem with your camera, you are in trouble.
