Simple question:

If I shoot a particular event in DVCPRO HD (1080 or 720) can I
output SD via the RCA connection I simply want to record to a dvd record so it can
be handed off the same day.

Don't everybody answer one time...(sometimes it takes days for a reply, sometimes there isn't one at all). Makes me wonder.

You want composite out, correct -- not component out.

and you want composite out of video recorded to the card after a days shoot, not while shooting?

I'm wondering which or what?

And if this is possible, you want to play off the cards out composite to a DVD recorder that will record that signal?
 
What I want to do actually... Is record an event at my best settings, and potential.
However they are use to getting dvd's right after. So I would output form the HVX SD (to a dvd recorder) while internally record HD to p2.

So they will still get their footage, and I will still get my footage.
 
Just find a composite cable and plug in it to your dvd recorder.Go a head recording which format you like,because composite out is giving always sd anyway.You can also do it from via component,but do not forget to change out put option from component out sel...
 
Say the last part again... If what you saying is using the higher end connector component, then would the picture look any better?

I have also noticed that the A1 can do this as well I just need to spend some time with it.
 
One of my idea was the after i recorded to Fs-100,i wanted to transfer them to directlly digibeta.Because i can play the files from firestore and can see them on lcd.So it should be giving out from component,yes we can see it on a monitor of course.But DigiBeta recorder didn't recognize or sync to it.So it didn't worked.
But one of my friend said it will work on HD recorder deck....Because the files i am trying to send is HD and digibeta is SD ,digibeta can not convert to sd by itself:(
I don't know i should try it.Anyone have idea?
 
in the menu where i dont remember.There is a option that you choose the format of the component out.Like 1080/720/576(i am a PAL user).If you are planning to out from component to dvd then choosing the sd option from the menu would be right choice...At least i did it like that and it worked..
