HVX noise vs. DVX100B noise

NBC, the 100B has much improved chroma noise over the "a" which was an improvement over the 100....

Here are two files, taken directly off the cameras, in raw DV format. Each file is around 40 megabytes, being about 10 seconds of a DVRack gray chip chart. I matched settings and exposure reasonably between the two cameras. I figure the chip chart will show noise in various tones.

These are DV .avi files. You can download them to your computer and play them through firewire to a DV camera and see the actual image on your television.

I don't know how long my bandwidth will last, but as long as it does, here is what the noise performance ACTUALLY IS. Please right-click and "save as..." so as to preserve what bandwidth there is... :)

please excuse me,that i reactiviated this old post.

what i see in the clips is, that noise is not too strong.
i have much more on my new hvx, but i guess its more chroma
than luma noise.

do you have tips, advice ore scene setting file to solve the ugly noise issue
of the hvx?
please help.
