HVX Logo Artwork

What I am suggesting is that as an HVX community we could adopt a shot on HVX logo to use in our tail credits. Most of the stuff we are shooting is looking so much like film that the Panavision Logo can get replaces with a custom Panasonic ;) and that the Kodak can be made P2.

I have always credited the DVX in my earlier projects, I just thought that this would be a Branding Exersise for the HVXers . . . also a DVXUSER thanks to would manytimes also be fittingHVX :)

HVX Logos Needed!

I think that's a awesome idea. People could create a logo, decide on the best one, and everyone who wishes to use it in their credits can.

I think that's a great idea. I, too, list the DVX in the credits for my DVX-shot feature and would be happy to include a logo for my upcoming HVX feature(s). I wonder if it would be possible to get Panasonic's participation.

If Red Rock has some for the M2, it's definitely fitting for Panasonic to make some for the P2 format and the HVX.....

I would ask them first before getting all worked up.
I know the DCPRO HD is a trademark. Jan can help you.

if it can be legit, im sure it can, then i dont mind lending a hand in helping make a logo, heres something i put together in the last 10 minutes:

keep everyone posted

Cynic, nice! At first I thought you just copied and pasted that in!

This logo is for what? If I understand correctly, you want an HVX logo at the end of the credits like they do with film credits? Your logo looks nice, but aren't those logos usually less fancy? Your use of multiple color and a gradient background is nice and def. ok for credits, I just thought the logos at the end were two toned (b&w).

im too trendy i guess, since i do alot of DVD's , ive come accustomed to using a menu as a credit screen. Arent neccessarily a ton of credits to give out, so i can fit them on one page with a few PC links in em. :P

Ill see what else i can make, Jan said she would get back to us on this anyways. ya, i knew the gradient in the back would be a problem when i started though i think color would be ok. maybe? LOL

Here is a black and white one, and where it says the recording format, it can be changed to represent whatever format used to master the content in. be it 1080i 60i, 1080p 24p, or whatever it is:

How about doing a combo of the two? I vastly perfer your color one but I don't think it'll reproduce well in downrezzed scrolling credits.

Leave "Pansonic" way it is on the B&W one but put the "DVCPro HD" back in color and perhaps make the AG-HVX200 the same as it was in the color one (the format takes away space may not be neccesary, especially if formats are mixed). Just a thought.

The Panavision logo is a contractual credit requirement for any feature using their cameras.

Anamorphic is simply "Filmed in Panavision", while spherical shows are "Filmed with Panavision Cameras and Lenses".
