So Im trying to see how many hours are on my HVX. I went into other functions and scrolled to the bottom under user file but nothing shows up? How can I find out hours of operation and hours on heads?

no. do you have to have it to view the hour meter? and how do you get it?

How do you know if you have the latest firmware version?
What version do you have? It should be 4.06.
The manual explains how do update the firmware.

I could be wrong but I don't think firmware version has anything to do with this--I have always been able to view my hours on my original HVX (early adopter) and my present (second) one.
What may be confusing is that you are not going to see hours on the heads unless you slide the switch from P2 to Tape (or whatever it says) on the back of the camera. Then turn it on, hit menu, and slide down to OTHER FUNCTIONS as you have done previously. And yes, I think you do have to scroll down (or up) from that page to see it.
