Hello,
I currently use the HVX with several 8 gig cards. I was thinking of updating the firmware on the HVX to the latest version, but had a couple questions before doing this:
1) Are there benefits to updating the firmware on the HVX if I won't be using anything larger than an 8 gig P2 card for awhile? In other words, does it do something beneficial to the camera other than allowing it to use the 16, 32, or 64 gig cards?
2) Are there any downsides to updating the firmware? I currently edit on Final Cut Pro version 5.1.4. Has anyone had any trouble uploading the 8 gig P2 cards into this version of Final Cut Pro after updating the firmware?
3) Do I need to update the firmware on the actual 8 gig P2 cards in addition to the camera?
I tried the search function, but couldn't find anything pertaining to the above questions. I appreciate any advice you can give me.
John
