HVX cheaper after HPX170 release??

Do you guys think the price of the HVX200A will drop after the HPX170 release next month?

not much - its a different camera for different needs - not an upgrade. image quality of a 200a and a 170 are supposed to be more or less identical.

My thought is no.

The 200A has a tape mechanism and that adds value to those that wish it.

Not likely, but you will almost certainly see more of them on the used market both here and on E-Bay as current HVX users move to the HPX for the lighter camera. Especially those who never use tape anymore.
