HVX book and letter?

Has anyone received Barrys book and the letter informing of the rebate switch from 8 to 16gb p2 card? Jan had written in one of the threads that they would be sending them out soon, hope they are sent out sooner than later.:)
 
I know they have started to ship and I got a note from someone yesterday that had received it so, you should get it soon. If you don't I suggest you contact the rebate center as these are only going ou to the folks that have complete documentation on file. We have about 300+ that are still waiting for their invoices to be sent in. But give it a week or so, UPS gets to some places a little more slowly and they all did not leave on the same day.


But in a week if you don't have it, call the rebate center. Phone number is on the Special Offers link on the HVX200 product page.

Yep, I got mine today.

Has the firmware upgrade been posted to allow use of the 16GB P2 cards yet? Like everyone else, I'd like to get my card sooner rather than later too, but it won't do you any good until the firmware is released to allow it to work.
 
Got my book and letter today also. I definitely appreciate the upgrade from 8gb to 16gb...so thanks for that.

but Jan...Jan...Jan... Can't wait much longer Jan.

I'm even having to use tape (yuck!) on the longer live performance shots.

Yes the firmware's already available for download.
 
how exactly do you install a Firmware up date.... icant seen to find it on the website. I feel kind of silly.
 
To the guys who got their books and letters today;

When did you submit/Process Date?

Did the status on the tracking system say it shipped or does it still say Fulfillment in process?

Go to the "useful links" post in the "technical" section; it'll take you to the firmware update page. There's a PDF there on how to do it.
 
Thirteen weeks and two days!

No card, no book, no clue when it's gonna happen.

According to Jan, the letters went out last week. I'm still at a loss.

But the question is... What do the letters say?

16gb instead of 8?
What kind of time frame?

I'm so sick of running to the mail like a kid on Christmas morn.

The letter thanks you for buying an HVX200, apologizes for the delay in getting the card, an explanation of why they are late (can't make them fast enough), and that they are sending a 16GB card instead of 8GB. It also states that if you are receiving this letter, than all of your paperwork is in place and you will receive your card as soon as they get them, sometime in May or June.

For those of you who haven't received a letter, I would contact the rebate center and find out what's up.
