hvx 200 workflow nube questions

hvx200 nube looking for some quicky answers to a few questions. (I haven't done any research yet but need some quick info for tomorrow morning)

I've been tasked to setup a TV station from scratch and some of the equipment has already been ordered, some was already in place and some is waiting on input from me. I have NO experience with HD as my delivery format has always been SD and all we have used in the past was prosumer cams (DVX100, PD 170s, VX2100s)
2 hvx200s will be ordered shortly and will be primarily for studio work probably hardwired to a newtek video toaster4 or a tricaster pro in the studio and P2 card in the field.
questions:
If I hook up svideo straight from the cam what comes out? SD? hd? what the cam is currently set for?

hvx200 p2 cards.... how do I get the files from the p2 card to the editing box?
standard pci slot like on a laptop? (our edit box does not have one of these but I suppose we could go buy one or copy from laptop to edit box???)

This tv station will not be broadcasting in HD......Whats your best guess what I should be shooting in? shoot hd and downconvert in the edit box? should I just shoot in SD? Obviously the best source footage is better but workflow wise....does the hvx200 look good enough in sd to make my workflow easier?

Sorry for the nube type questions but they arn't gonna give me much time to do research today...

SD comes out the S-Video port. HD out of component only. Not sure how to get suitable files to a Video Toaster (what does it use?). I would shoot DVCPro50 (SD) to the cards and save on a laptop (backup on portable or dedicated storage Hard drive). Might have to convert files with DVFilm Raylight to AVI, but not sure of Toaster's requirements. There should be somebody out there with experience in using it.

The cards are PCMCIA and are treated like a portable hard drive on a suitable laptop. However, the Express Card slot on a new laptop will not work unless you have a card reader adapter (Duel) but the don't work with all laptops (my HP9000 series for example - my Duel is sitting on the shelf collecting dust). Check any new laptop carefully before buying. A P2 card will fit right in the Express Card slot and make you think it will work. ALso, the HVX will act as a 1394 device and will control a portable hard drive without a laptop if you want to dump cards in the field. Or you could use a Firestore recorder. Lots of options these days.

HVX shoots great DVCPRO-50 footage for any SD work. Switch to HD when and if the station upgrades or start shooting now in HD if you think that they will do that anytime soon so you can go back and reuse old footage.

Make sure to get Barry Green's book on the HVX. Should come as a rebate with the cameras if buying new. It will help answer all your questions.

I would shoot anything of value in HD, maybe everything if you've got storage figured out. Eventually you'll be glad you have it. DVCPro50 does look really good, though.
Greenscreen will look better in 1080 and downconverted than it does in DVCPro50.

Thanks Guys
So the ONLY way to get the MXF files off the P2 card is buy this Duel card? I would probably shoot in dvcpro 50 but am looking for a fast way to get the MXF files into a windows pc with Premiere pro 2 (will PPro2 even play MXF files or do I have to convert to an AVI first?) I would hate to go the P2 - laptop- xfer to edit box route

For in the studio stuff the video toaster will be hardwired to the cam just recording whats coming out of the SVideo (or Component) of the cam so I won't ever have to transfer anything from the P2
