Are you assuming that B&H will stock the PAL model at a price comparable to the NTSC one or would you go ahead and get the NTSC model anyway? So the "little" money that could be saved will probably be as "little" as 2,000 Euro (importing "grey") or 1,000 Euro (paying import tax). That is reason enough for me to hop.
Another thing: If dealers in the U.S. sell the HVX 200 (either model) at around 5,000€, import duties and VAT would be something like 1,500€ and hence narrow the difference in prices drastically (never mind the costs of the ticket and the hassle involved). No, I don't think, I would "hop", not even to save 2k € (but that's just me).
Edit: I checked out B&H's site and found this little "cautionary" remark for in-store purchases:
However, if and when they do stock PAL models, I might look into the possibility of having B&H send the HVX 200 to me by UPS, rather than pick it up in person. We do not collect tax for orders shipped out of New York State. Purchases in our store are subject to an 8.375% local sales tax. This tax is not a VAT, and cannot be recovered by non-USA visitors when returning home.
