Hi,

What is the the easiest way to import hvx files into after effects ?

Thanks

The same way you import any other file into AE. After Effects cannot import the native MXF files directly from the camera, you'll need to convert them into a file format that AE understands like Quicktime or AVI. If you're on a Mac just use Final Cut to import the files, it automatically adds a Quicktime "wrapper" which works perfectly with AE.

If on the PC, you may want to look at DVFilm.com's Raylight program, which turns MXF files into PC-editable .AVI files that could be directly imported into AE.

Simple. Use HDLog to open, play and select just the clips or portions of them you want, export for FCP XML. This auto-converts the MXF files to QT clips that you can open in AE.

Plus, using a logger yields an easy to use index to all your media, anytime, regardless of origin or format.
