Hi,
I got my HV30 recently and am having fun.Anyways I want to buy letus elite 35 mm adapter.
1.What all would I need to fit the adapter to the camera?I read somewhere about the stepup or stepdown rings?Do I really need these or would the Letus Elite directly fits to the camera.
2.I have the rod system(zacuto) to support the setup. When I go to B&H to buy Letus Elite,I dont understand few things, what is M42 Screw Mount?Which ring Should I buy,72mm,77mm,82 mm etc?I have plans to buy a HPX170 later in future.
3.Do I have to buy Nikon lens mount separately as I am going to use them with Nikon lens?
4.I am thinking of buying Nikon Lens .Should I go for AF or AI types?D I have any Nikon models that I can use with Letus which can be used both manual and Auto Focus?

I have gone though the posts but got confused a lot.Would really appreciate if someone could answer my questions.

I asked one of the Letus guy's for the infor about how to fit the Letus with Canon hv20/30 and he said we can't fit it which I am sure is wrong.
Please help!Would be great if someone can direct me to some link to make a decision.

Thanks in advance
Jay

You can use the elite instead of the mini, which would be a good idea if you plan on upgrading to a larger camera in the future. You should go for the 72mm ring and you will need to get a 43mm to 55mm step up ring and a 55mm to 72mm step up ring. If you plan on using Nikon lenses then get the Nikon mount...you won't need the M42 screw mount. You can use the Non-AI, AI, and AIS lenses (and probably others) but the Non-AI will be the most affordable. Some lenses are better than others (Ai vs. AIS) so do a little research as far as which ones you want to use.
